ristol police were led a merry crawling chase by joyrider Mike Pedley who made off with a Bobcat digger in the early hours. Whenever squad cars got near he threatened them by raising the monster shovel and it took two hours to bring him under control. He was conditionally discharged after admitting taking the digger, but charges of drink-driving and reckless driving were dropped, because it seems the Bobcat is not classified as a motor vehicle. Who says the law's an ass?
