• John Goodreid, former managing director of Intertrail, is to launch his own contract hire and rentals firm next month called Go Truck. He says the Staffordbased company has already won a few contracts.
Goodreid's hands are tied until the end of the month when his contract with Intertrail's French owner, SocGen Lease, expires. He was managing director of the Stoke-on-Trent-based contract hire firm for four years, until its management was handed over to Wincanton Vehicle Management at the beginning of the year.
During that time he pulled the loss-making business into profit, winning over blue-chip firms including Geest and the London Rubber Company (CM 27 Feb-4 March).
