FORD has appointed 45 "Line haul" dealers to handle the sales and servicing of Cargo and Transcontinental chassis over 28.5 tonnes.
Each Linehaul dealer will remain open with a trained technician on duty for at least 64 hours a week according to Ford.
Emergency service for 24 hours a day, seven days a week (except public holidays) will be provided with each Linehaul dealer being able to offer a 24hour service capable of recovering a fully laden Transcontinental or Cargo 3220.
In addition a trained technician will be available for emergency call-outs.
The 45 Linehaul dealers have been appointed from the total of 132 Ford Truck Specialist Dealers for reasons of "strategic locality" as Ford claims that most of the remaining dealers have equal facilities.
