WHEN not helping old ladies across the road, youngsters in Somerset are being asked to protect frogs and toads from death on the highway. So look for boy scouts with "Stop — frogs crossing" signs.
This is not pure anthropomorphism. A 4ft black monkey which saw its mate struck by a motorcycle in Bombay attacked cyclists, bit ol a policeman's ear and injured 1 other people. Think what vengance a colony of bereaved toads could wreak.
