interiand wins appeal

INTERLAND Coaches has won an appeal to Transport Secretary David Howell against London Transport's refusal to grant it a London bus agreement to operate commuter services from the Orpington area of Kent into Central London.

Mr Howell said the proposed service would contribute to the needs of London. Interland already has an LT agreement and runs a similar service from the Biggin Hill area. The new service will serve the City and West End of London.

NIGHT travel restrictions on foreign coaches travelling in Spain have now been lifted. The move follows representations by the International Road Transport Union (IRU).
