The credits include "Special thanks to Commercial Motor Lorry Driver of the Year, London, for their assistance in planning the competition." Alongside CM is an impressive list of 29 sponsors. The Hong Kong LDoY is Mr Ho Shu Tim, who drives an artic for Ben Line Steamers.
As our own CMLDDY competition gets into top gear, it is good to know that this new venture in Hong Kong has such tremendous support. The CMLDoY secretariat has also spread the good word in South Africa, the Netherlands and the Irish Republic, but we will not expect such exotic acknowledgements every time. The headline, as far as we know, translates as "Hong Kong Automobile Association driver of the year competitions."
