RANKS Hovis McDougall Foods Ltd has taken delivery of 14 Boalloy Linkliner vans based on Ford D-Series chassis.

The body floor is of aluminium alloy planks and is " veed " to resist side movement of pallets. A perimeter rail runs round the body's side frame and is designed to absorb side thrusts.

So far two sizes of body have been supplied : 5.2m (17ft) versions on 13.2-tonne (13-ton) gross Fords and 6.4m (21ft) versions on 16.3-tonne (16-ton) gross Fords. Both sizes of body are 2.15m (7ft 7in) wide and 1.88m (6ft 5in) high internally. They will be used to distribute RHM's grocery products.
