A DROP in exports of new com

mercial vehicles, including industrial trucks, road haulage tractors and trailers, took place in February, when 4,773 units of these descriptions, valued at £2,253,393, were shipped overseas. Comparable figures for January were 5,686 and £2,645,472. So far this year, 10,428 vehicles, valued at £4,892,713, have been exported. Figures issued by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders show that, in February, 404 used commercial vehicles, valued at £149,265, were also exported, along with agricultural tractors and parts to the value of L1.186,187. Exports of parts and accessories during the month were valued at £1,927,963.
