Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A SLOVAKIAN TRUCK driver has been banned from entering the UK for two years after a conviction for dangerous driving.

Carlisle Crown Court heard how Frantisek Moravek from Bratislava was stopped by police on 26 June 2005 on the M6 near Penrith after complaints from the public about his erratic driving.

Police found several empty beer cans in his cab, but he refused to provide a breath sample — an offence for which he was later charged.

Moravek was also charged with dangerous driving and using a motor vehicle in a dangerous condition: his truck had defective brakes and three of its tyres were down to the metal.

He was sentenced to 21 weeks' imprisonment but due to the amount of time he had already spent on remand he was released. Moravek was also fined and banned from driving in the UK for two years A Cumbria police spokesman says: "This demonstrates that we do take firm action when we are aware of drivers who appear to be flouting our drink-drive laws."
