Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The Department of Transport has unveiled proposals which would allow some trucks to be built taller and wider.

In a consultation letter sent to the industry last week, the DOT proposes to scrap the 4.2m height limit on the bodywork of goods vehicles in excess of 35 tonnes. And it proposes to increase the 2.5m maximum width of vehicles by 50mm to give more room for automatic loading equipment for standard pallets.

The DOT says it is illogical to apply a height limit to the bodywork when it does not restrict the overall height of a flatbed vehicle and load.
