SHALDAR Coaches, which operates services in Shetland, has taken a series of contracts from school authorities in Orkney, eight of which are to bus pupils from outlying townships into Kirkwall and Strornness.
The firm plans to take premises in Stromness to operate as a base for these new routes, and plans for further growth in Orkney to supplement its 13 coaches in Shetland.
