Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ROCHDALE Metropolitan Borough has more vehicles available following the installation of Romatic automatic chassis lubrication equipment.

Monthly servicing has been extended to bi-monthly intervals and the hour-per-week greasing allowance has been cut to a 10minute check.

Automatic chassis lubrication systems are currently operating on five refuse collection vehicles, seven Dodge tippers and four Lacre road sweepers on Ford Cargo chassis. With two exceptions on the Lacre machines (suction fan bearings), all moving parts are lubricated while the vehicles are on the road.

Following a two-year experimental programme with centralised lubrication, Rochdale has chosen grease systems in preference to oil. While grease is more exper.sive than oil, Rochdale finds the former system is particularly effective on shackle pins and king pins.
