NEW managing director of Tate and Lyle Transport is Tony Stanton. The operation provides a commercial transport service to the Tate and Lyle Group and, increasingly, to third party customers. Before joining the company earlier this year, Mr Stanton was managing director for four years of Cory Distribution, a subsidiary of Ocean Transport and Trading. He is a London CBI councillor and a member of the industrial relations committee of the Road Haulage Association.
David Welder, his predecessor, has taken up a new appointment within the group in Jamaica.
Another Tate and Lyle division, TLT Distribution, has a new general manager, Christopher Walker. He joined the company in 1975 and has held several senior positions including, most recently, operations development manager.
