THE RECENTLY introduced Dodge G13 fire tender chassis is on public show for the first time at the Fire Fighting and Prevention Exhibition at Eastbourne next week.
Chrysler's Special Equipment Operations Department has also announced approval of the Allison MT643 automatic gearbox and the Girling Skid-Chek for this specialist chassis.
Standard equipment on the 4.36m (lift 4in) wheelbase Dodge includes Perkins V8.540 engine, Chrysler six-speed overdrive gearbox and Eaton single-speed rear axle.
Chrysler hopes that this model will increase the 40 per cent market share held by its predecessor.
