Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

known, plastics tanks are not produced commercially in this or any other country. My company, REG Mouldings, 65 Montrose Avenue, Welling, Kent produces reinforced plastics tanks of the impregnated type for competition motorcycles, cars and motor boats.

We would develop a prototype plastics tank for commercial-vehicle application if the demand warranted the project.

Could you suggest what markets exist for plastics fuel tanks? As yet, none of our tanks has failed in service because of high frequency vibrations or any other cause.

AFor commercial vehicles conventional steel tanks have a low cost and are relatively free from premature failure. This weighs against the adoption of plastics tanks unless, possibly, their worth is proved in practice and given wide publicity.

Although the weight advantage of plastics tanks would be of little benefit to the user of heavy vehicles, mainly engaged on off-theroad work, the prospect of improved resistance to shock stresses and ease of repair might well have a particular appeal to operators when replacements were being considered.
