Synthetic Resins Ltd has developed a type of polyester gel production of automotive components. The material, Filabond 34-308A, is an addition to the new polyester resin range recently announced by SRL.
It is claimed that its improved abrasion and impact resistance as well as excellent chemical anc heat resistance enable it, wher used for commercial vehicle parts, to overcome many of the problems associated with norma gel coat such as cracking an crazing, heat distortion an surface attack by corrosivE liquids. The gel coat also has low colour content so that it car be more accurately colour pigmented to the require( standard.
