• A re-examination of Ulsterbus services being carried out by the company could result in redundancies of 350 by the end of the year.
But Ulsterbus managing director. Mr Werner Heubeck, has declined to confirm the figure. "At the moment," he explained, "we are dealing with an adjustment of ervices, and we do not know ourselves how far we may have to go.He admitted there is a problem, and there may be jobs involved, but he could not say how many.
Ulsterbus. Mr Heubeck said, was employing 100 fewer people than a year ago.
The re-examination of services has been made necessary because of a fall-off in the number of people travelling owing to the civil unrest.
