Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

WITH the opening of a new factory in Glasgow and an extension to its existing VV premises at Barton Stacey, Pitt Trailers Ltd. plans to treble its production capacity. Work is due to begin on the extension to the Barton Stacey factory shortly. When this is complete it will double the rapacity of that plant.

The Scottish factory is currently producing 200 trailers a year and this figure is shortly to be increased to 350 units per year. Initially both factories are to produce the complete range of units made by the company, but ultimately it is planned that the Scottish factory will concentrate on the production of stock trailers of all models. Pitt Trailers Ltd., now a member of the Alexander Stephen Group of companies, markets it products through a national distributor network.

THIS rear-steering, 35/40-ton pole, I semi-trailer has recently been supplied to Leonard Fairclough Ltd., civil engineers, for the transport of girders and steel fabrications. The bolster centres are adjustable over a range of from 30 ft. to 50 ft. in increments of 5 ft.

To allow the outfit to be steered at the rear end, the tandem-axied bogie can be rotated 15 degrees each side of the centre line at any position along the pole. The unit is, at maximum extension, 65 ft. 6 in. long. Spools are provided on each side of the carriage to accommodate the air hoses and lighting cable as the wheelbase is adjusted.

Steering is accomplished by large hand-wheels at each side of the bogie. Brake equipment is two-line air-pressure operated 15-5 in. by 7-in. S-cam units on all wheels. Suspension is by two inverted semi-elliptic leaf springs, rubber mounted to the frame, and the unit runs on Michelin F20 ZZ tyres. Vertical landing gear and a winch-type spare wheel carrier are fitted.
