MR. W. D. HART has been appointed an assistant to the general manager, and Ma. C. A. SLEAP, secretary of Southdown Motor Services, Ltd.
Ma. CLatm CAMBAGE, general manager of S.M.T.Sales and Service, Edinburgh, left on the "Queen Mary" on October 9 for a business visit to the United States and Canada. He will be there for about a month, visiting New York, Washington, Philadelphia, Detroit and Toronto.
MR. A. MYCOE has been re-elected president of the Manchester and District Traffic Association. Other officials are now: Vice-president, MR. P. W. LUNN; chairman, Ma. J. A. POWELL, M.INsr.T , vice-chairman, MR. H. HEAP; honorary secretary, MR. P. CAFFERY; and honorary treasurer, MR, P. N. PEAKES.

Ma. Cotts4 BAILEY has been appointed a director of Duple Motor Bodies, Ltd.
MR. C. PARRY, MR. D. F. WALTON, MR. W. HALL and MR. H. H. Mustav have been appointed local directors of Thos. W. Ward, Ltd.
MR. R. R. HARRIS has been appointed secretary of the National Tyre Distributors' Association. He is a barrister and is prospective Conservative candidate for the Heston and Tsleworth Division of Middlesex.
Ma. H. TILSLEY has been appointed assistant sales manager (export) of the British Aluminium Co., Ltd. MR. A. E. HEELEY is to become manager of the Leeds branch office in succession to MR. W. H. MartsroN, who is relinquishing the position at his own request, and will be transferred to London.
