Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Many Good Features in Ingenious Patented Wheel and Axle Assembly

FOUR large wheels in line, a low platform and no loading obstructions are features of a new trailer just introduced by Cranes (Dereham), Ltd., Dereham, Norfolk. It incorporates a patented wheel and axle assembly, which can be removed from the vehicle in a matter of minutes, so that the rear portion of the platform can readily be lowered to the ground by means of jacks.

The removal of the axle, brake and spring assembly is effected merely by withdrawing two pins and turning over two spring trunnion blocks, one on each short axle. The whole axle and wheel assembly, can then be removed with ease and the frame lowered, When the load is in position and the frame again jacked up, • the wheels can be reassembled just as easily as they were removed.

This invention is usually applied to vehicles of large capacity having two short axles, but it can be employed equally well on vehicles having a single rear axle.

Special attention should be called to' the neat way in which the whole spring gear is housed. When assembled the springs are actually carried in the main longitudinal members on each side of the vehicle, each of which is of' box section for the purpose, giving great strength and taking up the least possible height.

The arrangement also has the advantage that the normal loading height is unusually low, so that, for ordinary purposes, side loading can be done to advantage.

The big wheels permitted by this new Cranes device obviously constitute an advantage.
