TRANSPORT, PLANT hire and utilities company SP Holding Group has acquired the intellectual property rights and brand of Wilson Trailers.
The Telford-based, family-run business said it would now provide Wilson Trailers customers with ongoing maintenance and repair services, and would continue to make commercial trailers under the Wilson Trailer brand.
SP Holding Group MD Steve Holding said customers valued the “excellent” trailers and vehicle bodies Wilson Trailers made over the last 30 years.
“Existing customers who hold a Wilson Trailers warranty can be assured that it will be fully honoured,” he said.
“Going forward, SP Holding can also offer an attractive finance and parts service, plus full warranty management repair and maintenance contracts,” Holding added.
The firm said it had now launched a three-month plan to integrate Wilson Trailers into its UK logistics support business. This will involve moving design and production from Keighley, West Yorkshire to SP Holding’s HQ in Telford. A meeting of creditors of Wilson Trailers was scheduled to take place this week (13 November).
