The licence held by Bo'nessbased Derek Heeps has been curtailed from 10 vehicles to six for a week by Scottish DIG Richard McFarlane (above. Heeps had been called before the DIG because of concern over its maintenance record and convictions for overloading and tachograph offences.
LINE LOAD
Co Armagh truck driver Colm Loughran was fined £2,000, with £70 costs by the Prestatyn Magistrates after his vehicle partly shed its load of machinery. Loughran pleaded guilty to using his vehicle with an insecure load and when the speed limiter was inoperative.
