• A roof-mounted on-board unloading system for delivery vehicles has been launched under the name Heman by Modemill of Oldham. Made under licence from Bass. the current system is initially aimed at the brewery industry. Its slewing top beam rotates through 360° to offload over either side of the vehicle body, and uses a cable and winch to lower kegs to the ground (or up to nine metres below ground level). The electronically-operated system
travels the length of the biody, on two beams beneath the ceiling.
Options include remote control, electro-hydraulic power and telescopic jib.
Capacity is 500kg and it costs around £9,500.
