• Torbay Council is putting its vehicle and plant maintenance contract out to tender. The contract covers 450 vehicles and items of plant and will run for nearly five years from June 1991, The council currently employs 20 vehicle and plant maintenance staff.
Nobo deals
• Sussex haulier JJ Adams has won a contract with office supply companies Nobo Visual Aids and Budgie Office Products. It will use five BoaBoy Tautliner tri-axles and MercedesBenz 1729 Powerliners to make deliveries in the UK and on the Continent.
Meals on wheels
• North-east farmers cooperative Farmway has added two Seddon Atkinson 17-tonners to its 30-strong fleet to deliver bagged feeds and fertilisers throughout the North-East and Scotland.
