Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Laycock Engineering Ltd. has announced a fast battery charger having silicon rectifiers that can be used for charging 6V, 12V and 24V batteries. The charge rate is selected by a range switch to suit the battery voltage and by a rate switch that determinesthe charging current.

The charging current is indicated on an ammeter on the control panel while the charging period is automatically determined by a time switch which prevents over-heating and over-charging. A magnetic cut-out switch is provided and accidental reverse polarity connection is guarded against by a fuse link.
