Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Scania's Longline tractor shares the same 3.9m (steer-to-drive axle) wheelbase and overall length as a bonneted 6x2 T-tractor.

• Its Topline cab has been extended by an extra 1.3m giving it the same bumper-to-back-ofcab dimension as a 1-truck with a regular sleeper.

• Compared with a standard CR19 R-series Topline cab which weighs around 1,300kg, the Longline weighs around 1,700kg.

• Longline models will be offered as 4x2, 6x2 tag, 6x2'4 (rear steer) and 6x4 tractors. There's no twin-steer, and right-hand-drive availability is yet to be finalised.

• Power options will be restricted to Scania's most powerful 580hp V8 while an Opticruise automated gearbox is standard.

• For full details on the eXc, see CM 7-13 Nov 2002.
