Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• West Midlands-based engineering company CMT Engineering has acquired the rights to manufacturer and distribute the original 'Knight Lock' trailer anti-theft device, previously used by Commercial Motor on its Fruehauf test trailer.

Now being re-launched under the `Linelock' brand name, the device was invented by former West Country lowloader operator Bryan Haynes and uses a removable connector nozzle on the trailer's red air line coupling to prevent a trailer being stolen.

Once the Linelock connector is detached from the bulkhead coupling, it is impossible to couple up to a normal Susie, which ensures the spring park brakes remain firmly on. Through the use of an infinitely variable number of special locking lugs within the connector itself, the trailer cannot be moved without attaching the right Linelock coupling.

Linelock is certified by the Thatcham 'Insurance Vehicle Security Scheme' and can be fitted within minutes to the bulkhead of the trailer, replacing the existing male coupling.

The patented device can also be manufactured to cater for individual fleet management security systems, for example, where a truck and trailer unit will have multiple drivers.
