Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Pallet network Fortec is to follow in the footsteps of the other major pallet firms and launch a European service in September, linking in with its parent company Geodis.

The move comes at a time of expansion for the network, which is on course to double its membership from 28 licensees this time last year to 55 this September.

An increase in licensees has resulted in a 38% increase in volume in 2002, and director Rod Abrahams believes the network can achieve his target of 56% volume growth this year. "Revenue and volume are all ahead of budget. We are handling over 1,800 pallets a night and this will increase to 2,500 per night by September," he adds.

But Abrahams believes Europe will be the next successful move for Fortec. "We have the advantage of being owned by a French parent company, and that pedigree

will enable us to launch a new service into Europe and open new doors for our customers," he says. The European service will initially be launched into Benelux, France and Germany.
