The RHA's Vehicle and Traffic Information Service — VATIS — will be expanded around September or October into a general information service using British Telecom's Prestel service.
In addition to the backloading information which was provided initially on BRS' Datafreight service, and which is now handled manually at RHA area offices, subscribers will receive domestic and international news and information on Prestel desk monitors.
