The Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) (Amendments) Regulations 2900. CIF1August (part) and (October (remainder) 2000. Introduce the latest (6th) edition of the publication entitled /n-service Exhaust Emission Standards for Road Vehicles. Also insert a new condition to ensure That the roadworthiness of vehicles powered by compression-ignition engines is tested in accordance with procedures set out in recent European Commission directives.
The Motor Vehicles (Approval) (Amendment) Regulations 2000. CIF 18 August 2000. Amend regulations (3) and (5) of the 1996 regulations by redefining the vehicle categories specified in Schedule 1.
The Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Amendment) (11o2) Regulations 2000. CIF 1January 2001. Introduce new procedures for certain drivers whose full licences have been revoked on medical grounds and who wish to resume driving.
The Motor Vehicles (EC Type Approval) (Amendment) (14o2) Regulations 2000. CIF 7 November 2000. Insert references to recent EC directives into the Motor Vehicles (EC Type Approval) Regulations 1998 regarding protective devices, dangerous goods transport and vehicle interior fittings.
The Motor Vehicle (Tests) (Amendments) (4o2) Regulations. CIF lOctober 2000. Increase the fees payable tor test examinations. Examples: Class Vil (goods vehicles between 3,000-3,500kg) rise from £33.80 to 235.75. Regulations 2000. CIF 1 November 2000. Amend the fees payable for various types of driving licence and various circumstances of application. Examples: First licence, £27.50; provisional licence which includes category C, £27.50; replacement for lost or defaced licence, 217.50.
The Road Traffic (Owner Liability) Regulations 2000. CIF 16 October 2000. Prescribe the forms to be used in connection with the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988 (Sections 62-68) relating to fixed penalties and excess charges. Particulars on hired vehicles are also included.
The Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) (Amendment) (No 3) Regulations 2000. CIF 1 January 2001. Consolidate regulations on turning circles, introduce new emission and other requirements for vehicles first used after 1January 2001 and amend Type Approval certification conditions.
Transport Tribunal Rules 2001. CIF 1January 2001. Introduce revised rules for proceedings of Transport Tribunals, including stays and appeals.
The Motor Vehicles (Type Approval of Reduced Pollution Adaptations) (Amendment) Regulations 2000. CIF 5 January 2001. Amend the prescribed Type Approval requirements for reduced pollution apparatus fitted to vehicles to reflect the lower emissions requirements of Directive 1999/96/EC.
The Goods Vehicles (Authorisation of International Journeys) (Fees) Regulations. CIF 1January 2001. Prescribe revised fees for journey permits, issue of Ecopoints documentation and other authorisations.
The Road Vehicles (Authorised Weight) (Amendment) Regulations 2000. CIF 1January 2001. Amend existing regulations to permit 44-tonne operation from 1February and introduce various criteria relating to lifting axles and engine emissions.
The Transport Act 2000 (Commencement Noland Transitional Provisions) Order 2000. CIF throughout 2001. This order introduces the first element of last year's Transport Act, which concerns concessionary travel in and outside Greater London.
The Vehicle Excise Duty (Reduced Pollution) (Amendment) Regulations 2000. CIF 5 January 2001. Amend the level of particulate emissions which a vehicle must meet in order to obtain an RPC0.08g/kWh now becomes the Euro-4 standard 0.03.
The Motor Vehicle (Driving Licences) (Amendment) Regulations 2901. CIF 1February 2001. introduce a variety of amendments to motor cycle licence requirements, training courses and provisional licences.
The Transport Act 2000 (Commencement No 3) Order 2001. CIF 1February 2001. Introduces Part 5 of the Act which concerns driver training, operator licensing, dnvers' hours enforcement, vehicle type approval and more.
