Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

QOn a recent CPC course, I was told that the 45 minute rest period could be split into 15-minute periods. Does it have to be a minimum of 15 minutes, or could it be less, say, 20 minutes plus 10 minutes plus 15 minutes?

RJ, Peterborough

/-A A Article 7 of EEC Reg ulation 3820 states that after 41/2 hours driving, the driver shall take a break of at least 45 minutes, unless he begins a rest period.

The rest period can be split into periods less than 45 minutes, provided each is of at least 15 minutes and they add up to 45 minutes altogether — any period less than 15 minutes does not count.
