P AND 0 Roadways Ltd, part of P and 0 European Transport Services, has promoted Frank Yeomans to commercial director. Mr Yeomans was formerly commercial manager, and in his new position he will be responsible for all marketing and commercial activity within the group.
Hugh Lappin, who joined express parcel carriers Wilkinson Transport seven years ago as a driver, has been promoted to the position of sales executive at Wilkinson's Higham depot. In his new position, Mr Lappin has special res ponsibility for customer liaison and business development in the Northamptonshire area. He has been traffic manager for the last three years.
'New deputy director of public transport (planning and de velopment) of Tayside Regional Council is Liddle Watson. He was previously responsible for the organisation, control and development of bus operations within the Wirral division at Merseyside PTE.
Bournemouth Transport has named Sydney Todd as senior assistant engineer. Mr Todd, previously technical assistant within the department, succeeds William Rawlings who has retired after 11 years as senior assistant engineer. Michael Bedwell has taken up the appointment of rolling stock superintendent (a re-designation of the former technical assistant's post) in succession to Mr Todd. Mr Bedwell was previously depot engineer at the Bracknell Depot of the Thames Valley and Aldershot Omnibus Co Ltd(Alder Valley).
