REMEMBER my note (Grotesque number plates. February 23) about hard to read registration plates? What do you think of them?
The manufacturer, Serck Services, of Redditch, has sent me a couple in appropriate letters to prove they are good to look at.
W. A. McEwan, product manager, says that the police appreciate them because: "They are only made in Serck controlled branches; the numbers can't be tampered with; we can trace them if they are used in crime."
