Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

DUNLOP has developed a new steel-braced tyre for light commercial vehicles.

The new SP LT3, an 8 PR C-type tyre, replaces the reinforced car and C-type sixply-rated tyres, and meets the demands of urban operation, where risk of accidental damage is most prevalent, while also providing the grip and handling characteristics needed for high-speed motorway work.

Its casing is made using several layers of tough textile, with a steel breaker for added casing protection.

A high-density pattern gives a full 1 lmm depth of tread, almost 40 per cent more than conventional six-ply-rated tyres.

The wide shoulder rib, with a finely rippled circumferential grove along its centre, is said to counteract rapid shoulder wear. Lateral cross-cuts in the pattern increase traction, and tiny knife slots in the two cen tre ribs improve wet grip per formance. Strong kerbing rib: help protect the tyre fron low-speed side scuffing.

Initially, the Dunlop SP LT,`: will be available in 185 R14, 19f R14 and 205 R14 sizes. Othei 14in sizes will become avail able later along with 15in anc 16in sizes.
