AThe Motor Vehicles (Construction and
Use) (Amendment) (No. 4) Regulations 1967 No. 1753 (price 6d) which comes into operation on April 1 this year lays down more stringent provisions with which tyres fitted to motor vehicles and trailer must comply.
The maximum damage acceptable on a tyre is laid down together with the requirement that every tyre shall have at least 1mm of tread depth throughout at least three-quarters of the breadth of the tread and round the entire outer circumference of the tyre.
