Chief executive of the Transport Holding Company, Mr. Quick Smith is closely involved in the developments by which the freight side of the THC will be hived off into the National Freight Corporation and the bus activities into the National Bus Company. He joined the road haulage section of the British Transport Commission over 20 years ago, having formerly been secretary of the London Cartage Association and later of the National Road Transport Federation.
