• Integrated production and joint export marketing of their complete truck ranges have been agreed between MAN of Germany and Saviem of France —who already have an agreement with Alfa Romeo in Italy covering light vehicles. Saviem vehicles up to 7 tons g.v.w. will be imported by MAN; Saviem 7to 12-ton-g.v.w. models will be built in France but MAN will also import parts and assemble at Munich for the German market. Vehicles from 12 to 38 tons g.v.w. will be produced jointly and assembled both by Saviem and MAN, the former producing cabs and gearboxes and the latter engines, frames and axles. Saviem will import MAN public works vehicles into France. In each export market the stronger company will handle sales.
