PLASTICS high-roof van bodies for fitting to Morris Mini-Minor and Morris 1000 pick-ups are being produced by Fabricated Plastics (Oxford) Ltd., Wallingford, Berks, the manufacturer of Derry plastics boats. The plastics superstructure is detachable, and is suitable for such applications as mobile hot-dog, icecream, barbecued-chicken and soft-drink shops. An alternative version without glazing can be used as a gown van.

Interior headroom of 6 ft. 3 in. is given, and the plastics mouldings can be colour impregnated to the choice of (he customer. The "shop type" body has a double sliding serving window on the nearside, and a fixed window on the offside, plus a glazed, lockable rear door and a curved Perspex front window immediately above the cab windscreen. There is also a translucent plastics hinged ventilator in the roof, and fittings include a large shelf in the Luton head. If required, the cab rear panel on the passenger side can be cut away to give access to the body from the driving seat. this costing £.6 10s. extra. In all cases it is claimed that the body can be removed in 15 minutes and transferred_ to a similar type of vehicle. Fully glazed, the Mini Minor superstructure costs £127, whilst the body for the Morris 1000 is priced at £140, this figure including a folding rear step. The "gown van" unglazed superstructures are £12 less in each case. For £.32 extra a plastics sink, draining board, shelves, food-storage compartment, 16-gal. pressurized water tank, pipes, tap and so forth can be supplied.
