AMERICA'S Greyhound Corp operated 508 m. bus miles in 19623'8 per cent more than in 1961. Passengei miles increased by 8-9 per cent tc 10,100 m., and the Corporation's consoli dated earnings rose to £10 m., as agains just over £8 in. for the previous year.
The Corporation's new bus plant new the Canadian border at Pembina, N.D. is expected to be in production by July 1 Greyhound will itself use the first model, produced, but hopes to have units fo sale to other companies during 1964 The Pembina plant is expected to providi about half of Greyhound's averagi requirement of 400 buses a year.
General Motors Corp. will supply th, diesel engines for the Pembina-buil buses, while the bodies will be made ii Canada by Motor Coach Industries Ltd a subsidiary of Greyhound Lines o Canada Ltd.
