M. J. W. R. PENROSE has become general sales manager of the home sales organization of the Austin Motor Co., Ltd. MR. E. A. WEBB has been appointed car sales manager, and MR. W. H. HOOFER commercial vehicle sales manager. Mr. Penrose has been home sales manager since 1954, and Mr. Hooper home sales executive for commercial vehicles since 1955.

MR. D. BESLEY has been appointed manager of the Glasgow branch of Brown Brothers, Ltd., and MR. A. V. REID, manager of the Belfast branch, with MR. T. DAWSON as assistant branch manager. MR. J. C. OBITUARY

•WE regret to record the deaths of MR. CHARLES S. GRAINGER and MR. JOHN E. DORMAN.

Mr. Grainger was a director of the Olympic Tyre and Rubber Co., Ltd., Melbourne, Australia. He was 64.

Mr. Dorman, who died suddenly last Saturday at the age of 92, was a director of Henry Meadows, Ltd., until his retirement in 1948. He was the son of the founder of W. H. Dorman and Co.
