As part of its determination to provide customers with positive trans)ort solutions, General Traders has extended he range of its city and urban distribution trailers a concept which it pioneered. Tanks, refrigerated trailers and now vans and curtainsiders are becoming available in shorter, highly manoeuvrable versions to match the special requirements of congested urban environments.
The General Trailers range has proved particularly popular by combining all the benefits of an articulated vehicle with the manoeuvrability of a rigid This is achieved through a positive steered rear axle and, at 11.22 metres, a trailer will carry some 13 tonnes compared with an 8,2 metre rigid carrying only 10 tonnes a 30% increase.
