launched a fuel monitoring system called Fuel-Tach, designed to enable a driver to adapt his driving habits to achieve maximum fuel economy.
Econosystems claims a fuel consumption saving of up to 15% by using Fuel-Tech to measure actual fuel flow and vehicle speed.
Information is relayed to the driver by a display in the cab which has a green band (indicating an increase in km/litre) and a red band (for a decrease in km/litre). A red LED display also provides an average fuel consumption figure for the trip.
