• The rocketing cost of warehouse space is now the chief worry of distribution bosses, says a new survey of 400 firms in all sectors of industry. With rents up 23% in the past year, and rates expected to rise by as much as 260% in some areas from April, many corn
panies are reviewing their warehousing arrangements.
The survey, by the Institute of Logistics and Distribution Management, says transport costs are falling and the cost of running trucks is no longer such a big concern for most managers.
