Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Humberside haulage operator Stuart Evison is selling off his entire fleet because he has had enough of the "hassle" of transport.

Evison, who runs SA Evison (Haulage), has been in the business since 1971. But this week he will be auctioning his fleet of five tractors and 13 trailers.

Evison says he has decided to concentrate on other fields, including farming and his food company. "I have decided that I want less hassle and transport is a hassle nowadays," he says. "If I am not getting a return on my investments I feel it is no longer worth pursuing." Intense competition is the major reason for Evison's decision to sell up: "It's the old story of too many carriers chasing too few loads."
