Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A wheel developed by SP Tyres dispenses with the centre well normally required to allow tyre fitting.

Instead, the wheel's back rim incorporates a cutaway tapered section with sufficient clearance for the tyre to be rotated into place. Once on, the normal 15 shoulder tapers mate with the tyre beads which, with the remaining section of the rim, retains the tyre in position.

The design is said to allow more room inside the wheel to fit a larger diameter brake where low-profile tyres are fitted.
