Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Volvo Trucks (GB) has produced its own dropframe version of the FL 617 rigid chassis for Whitbread.

The conversion is fitted with a Don Bur curtainsided body in Heineken livery. It has a 6.4m wheelbase and an overall length of 10.26m; deckheight is reduced to 580mm.

Inclusion of Volvo's four-bag rear air suspension accounts for about 60kg of the nominal 150kg overall reduction in body/payload allowance. With 150kg allowance for driver and mate, payload is 9.83 tonnes.

As well as improving the ride and providing a consistent ride height, the rear axle air suspension in this application also minimises wheelbox intrusion into the load space. Ll Coca-Cola has just ordered nine dropframe FL617s.
