• Marshall Commercial Vehicles of Ipswich, part of the Marshall Motor Group, has been appointed Foden main dealer for southeast Cambridgeshire and east Bedfordshire. Peterborough Engineering will continue to cover the rest of the two counties.
Foden's managing director Rod Heather says: "It will provide Foden users in the region with significantly improved sales , parts and service support."
Marshall Commercial Vehicle's range of services include contract maintenance with 24-hour roadside rescue and recovery. Its breakdown van and parts stock is backed up by four dedicated parts delivery vehicles.
The Marshall Group owns and operates Cambridge Airport: it offers aircraft modifications and special purpose vehicle (SPV) body building—one of its better known accomplishments is the "drop" nose on Concorde.
Merseyside Waste Disposal Authority has taken delivery of the last of 10 Foden 6x4 tractors equipped with the high-torque 12-litre Perkins Eagle 350Tx engine, Eaton Twin Splitter gearbox, Rockwell tandem-bogie axles and Foden FF20 rubber suspension.
