warranty for ERF EC
• An EC12.37 ST 4x2 tractor is the first ERF EC to enter service with the 24-strong Cawley Brothers fleet based in Llanrwst, Wales. With a design weight of 44 tonnes, it will perform a dual roll of tipping and trunking, covering a predicted 160,000km a year hauling coal, road stone and aluminium products.
The 38-tonne combination is powered by a Perkins 375 Tx Euro 1 engine delivering 280kW (375hp) at 1,900rpm and 1,763Nm (1,300Ibft) of torque at 1,250rpm. It is matched to an Eaton 12-speed Twin Splitter gearbox.
In addition to the vehicle's two-year bumper-to-bumper warranty, the SMC (sheet moulded compound) cab carries a 10-year anti-corrosion warranty which is said to be unequalled in the industry. The cab structure can be recycled and the interior trim makes extensive use of recycled plastics.
