DRIVERS BASED at bakers Warburton's Wednesbury depot are delivering out of temporary premises after a suspected arson attack gutted the premises. Police have launched an inves Ligation after the fire tore througl the despatch and productior areas of the building during th( afternoon of 4 January.Two truck were also destroyed.
"We have been able to secun temporary depot premises at tin Royal Mail Building in Wednes bury,says Warburton genera manager Trevor Burke. "P rebuilding programme is currenth. being drawn up."
Employees were evacuate( from the bakery safely: there wen no injuries. Over 100 fire-fighter were called to the scene but thei work was hampered by youth who stoned them as they tried IA bring the fire under control.
