• Avonmouth-based Filtration has introduced the Donaldson Duraclean Diesel Exhaust Filter system which is said to capture 99% of particulates. It is suitable for diesel-powered fork-lift trucks for engines up to 86hp (641kW) and costs about £1,400 including installation.

• LDV is offering some free options on vans bought in the first quarter of 1998. These include a two-year, 100,000-mile warranty; power steering; side loading door; and dual passenger seat. In the last quarter of 1997 [DV registrations were up by 1,000 vehicles compared with the same period in 1996.

• Wigan-based Standish National Self Drive is taking 40 MAN L2000 7.5-tonners on an MAN Finance threeyear operating lease. • French firm JSA has produced an anti-roll suspension kit for panel vans such as the Sevel models, the Ford Transit 150 and the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. The 30kg kit consists of steel front and rear anti-roll bars, with forged arms which fit on to existing chassis points. JSA has yet to obtain a UK distributor.
